Well, Amica (whoever you are) I am not back. I posted that more as a question, and thank you for being the only one to answer. I have come to call that moment a mix of vision and hallucination and also just something that happened was/is most likely irrelevant.

So you know – I have no intention of writing about Africa in any detail.

The animals are/were exactly like you would expect them to be. Big, beautiful, too far to touch but close enough to see. The ‘cool’ ones were surrounded but jeeps full of people. Digital photography is the way to go – if you can afford it. I can’t.

It is much greener, lush than I thought. Not sure why. Nat Geo, I suppose and only seeing the drought bits.  The cities are crowded and dirty like I thought. Driving – crazy. I would rather face wild animals than try to drive in Nairobi.

I am still impressed, affected by the water/lack of clean water. Like so many other things, it is not something you ‘get’ until it is something you have to live with, even for a short while.

Good food. Nice people?? Who knows. Tourist / Guests are treated well for the money. Did I mention really amazing bananas? Several kinds too.

Africa – go but, do not fly coach.

    I am sorry that you will not continue to write. I enjoy reading about other people, especially from a different perspective. And to be honest, I am a bit of a voyuer, and this allows me to engage in conversation without engaging in confrontation. Not too many people agree with my philosophies or ideas. I do not want to get into arguments about why I am right and you are wrong. I do enjoy a good discussion between equals. Good luck in the future.

    I didn’t say I would not write anymore. Just not going to go into Africa in detail. Much better a live conversation with some photos.
    Since that will not happen with anyone that come s here –

    Having a view, opinion, belief need not lead to confrontation. Conversation and being open to allow others to have their own view and opinion are fun things. I get frustrated by people that champion or say they believe something without know why. Just judge everyone that does not hold the same view while unable to clearly support their own.

    I would go on but – being open and honest and telling what I think, believe and am really like, keeps me unemployed.

    I have thought to password protect my blog for those that I know and know want to read it. But alas, with the anonymous, creeper-peeker types, what would be the point? Only one person would actually ask for password and since I tell him everything in direct emails…….
