I know, “there is no such thing as a stupid question!” That may be true. However, it does not take into account that there is, in nor short supply, and enormous number of stupid people asking questions.

I wonder if any one has ever attempted to measure that real weight of stupidity? Since any thing with mass also has gravity, I offer up the hypothesis that gravity is really freaking heavy and that is why stupid people seem to congregate. They have no choice but to be attracted and drawn together by the giant, invisible dumb ass magnet. In fact, instead of the typical horse shoe shape, this looks just like an ass. (you pick your definition, no matter which, the mental image of hordes of critically stupid people being drawn together and towards the ass-image-in-your-minds-eye is as hilarious as it is frightening)

I suppose there is a great deal more laziness and lack of forethought that actual stupidity. Just frustrating to have to reply, answer, point out, what is obvious or has already been made clear, had someone taken the time to look,  made the tiniest effort to think for themselves.

Most of this frustration comes from dealing with the masses that use Craigslist. I think – but I am not going to check this – I may have already mentioned this guy, that after finding an ad for some congas, in Craigslist, a place where you look for things that are for sale, where people place ads for things they are selling, complete with photo’s, descriptions and dollar amounts, writes and asks, “Are these for sale?” Not to you jack-hole, you are to stupid to hit a flat surface and not get injured.

Or the many people that replied to the ad, that said, in the subject line as well as in the description, “One (1) only. Not a matching Pair” and asked, “Do you have the other one?”

Or the one guy that, wrote to me five times, requesting a contact number.  The first two times I simply relied with, “it is below in the sig file”. (sig = signature file that is attached to all my out going emails for that particular email account. Why do I point this out to you smart folks? You’ll  see.) The third time he wrote he asked, “What’s a sig file?” Oh, that would be the big bunch of letters and numbers, right below this line, with my name, my web site url, both my home and cell numbers. That is what a sig file is. You have now received it, three times from me. When he asked again, I replied only with,  “see below” The fifth time he asked for it, I made my sig file, bright red, 24 point and added the note, “please do not use this information for any reason” I am assuming he is still trying to determine the meaning of ‘for any’ as I have not heard back from him.

I do not mind when someone misses the obvious  – like my name, address, phone numbers all being available at/on my web page. It is easier to just ask me after all.  It is not always easy for me to just answer – timing, location, what ever the situation, it is not always going to work out.

It is funny, there are people I want to contact and ask things, and I cannot bring my self too simply because it seems like a bad idea. Because the information I want or feel like I need to get / hear has been presented and is clear – should be obvious and somehow I have not understood or maybe not taken the time to look deep enough, to study, reflect, process so that I can answer for myself that which is only important to myself.

Never do I want to be the one making some one as crazy as it makes me for asking, not a stupid question, since there are none, but asking it as a stupid person.

No, I am not talking about YOU, or too YOU, no matter what you think or who you are. It is just a coincidence if you think so.

Bitter, Hardened, Frustrated and Angry,
