Someone told me I should write lyrics. I love this idea. To be a musician is also a big old fantasy of mine. I realize it takes no more than practice and diligence. Lessons and focus. OK fine.

So, I’m outside sippin’ coffee, watching the birds, playing with my guitar and bass. I think hey, a love song is right the tip of my tongue – write it! Then I think, hey a praise song! After all, it was music that had a big draw for me getting back to attending church.

BUT WAIT! Why not use the gift of the written word, my fantastic ability to play on those same words, and write a song that, depending on who is listening, could be either? Praise songs are after all love songs of sorts.

I have no idea where this train jumped the tracks. Maybe you can see it. No I am not drinking again  and only taking meds as prescribed.  All I can say is, you are truly lucky I do no have any way to record or know how to post audio. It is, in all honesty, much worse than it looks!

If life hides under a heavy rock, If the cure is hiding below a stone, Should peace be below a boulder

I will lift them all up, and throw them at you.

Salvation hiding in a bottle,  Hope locked in a mason jar,  Should peace be at the bottom of a barrel

I will drink them all, and thow up

I will swim the oceans for your, Climb the highest mountains for you, Survive all the deserts for you

Walk through every forest for you, I forgot to wear orange! Don’t Shoot!

Hmph.

  1. Wow, some lyrics. I hate to say it but I really don’t see either praise or love song in it. However, its funny as hell. I love the line about not wearing orange. Never let it be said that you don’t have comedic timing. You will have to write more. I needed this today.
