I have had the opportunity to read and re-read a wikihow article on How to Become Famous which had an appropriately related article How to write a Famous Blog, which I have also read more than a few times.
Here is the poop – I am going about this about all wrong. Both, famous me and famous blog. Now that I know the basics, the form, the function, the so called ‘way’, the rules or what ever ya wanna call it – I now know what I have not been doing right, well or enough of.
The question you are all dying to ask now is, will I start to do those things now, right? Or, it could be you want me to tell you what the those articles said and what I see myself lagging on/in. Or, you could just want me to say, this is how I intend to become famous and this blog along with me.
Too bad.

Now you know too.
After repeated reads I ask me this, what the hell do I know that people would come to read what I had anything to say about? So far the three of you read what I have to say about me. I am not even sure I could be considered all the knowledgeable on that topic either. Now I need to know about something enough to write about it on a regular basis. Something others would have enough interest or need to also know about that they would make a habit of coming here.
These days it is limited to the ‘Thank the gods I am not that guy” sort of feel good. You know – the whole easiest way to achieve satisfaction is to lower your standards thing. What will happen next used to be the thing but, I’ve become quite dull of late. Not much happens anymore.
A while back I posted about not posting and asked for topics. So far I have received, none. Zero, zip, nil, nada. This should make for some fun grasping in the dark, wild idea flailing. Just open my head and hang out the car window like big drooling dog, eyes watering, jowls flapping, and hope an idea slams into my head like a bug.
3. Choose what type of blog you want to create. Carve out a niche and pick a catchy title that captures the essence of your blog.
Does ‘random thoughts’ fall into a niche? Is ‘who knows?’ catchy? How did this happen? Besides thinking it would be great to live on a hundred acres in the middle of no-place AZ and survive by posting via a big dish in the yard, next to the cars on blocks and toilet-turned-planter, I don’t know.
Walter Winchell said this,”The fastest way to become famous is to hit a famous person with a brick.” NICE!
Some years back an acting agent said marketing is key. To prove the point he made a potato ‘famous’ in just a few weeks. The spud was on late night talk show hosts desk and on Seinfeld in the same week. Amazing.
I am not sure fame is the key for me. However I do find that the things I would like to be good at, good enough to make a living at, make people well known if not famous. ( too bad the brick idea wont pay the bills, I have list already too)
I’m rambling. So Cal is on fire again and my allergies are kicking my ass. This means an antihistamine high and head ache. Neither of which lend themselves well to creativity or diligence.
With that – I go. I suppose I shall start on getting a months worth of writing done and pray there develops a pattern or something to build on
Until then – tell you friends! What you tell them is up to you, I am out of ideas.
