A post about nothing –

Hey, they made a Sitcom about it and everyone got rich so, why not? I could use a few bucks. Long list of stuff to follow – just picture me taking a deep breath and going ’till I fall over. I need to figure out pictures and man-o-man, sound bites! Yea, sound bites.

Lets start here – should I write this stuff then video tape it, post it to be seen rather than read? Opinions?

OK- back to the tirade I promised earlier:

Still self-employed and have discovered, not quite as handy as I thought. A bit too OCD and optimistic. Time consuming combination. Not making near enough to be solvent (bad use of big word but I’m rollin’ deal with it)

New favorite quote, no credit, read it on a coffee cup, ‘Everything is always easier to get into than out of.”

New business idea, ‘De-Christmas-tization’ – everyone loves to be festive and decorate. No one much likes taking it all down to store. I am not so good at the up part – so – will focus on the take down part! YEA! Only need to last 20 more days.

Two weddings came up in one day. Amazing. Something I can do, make a few dollars and a great chance to put out the word. Got to love the answered prayers.

New TV (gift, amazing gift) is CRAZY AWESOME and in the wrong place. Decided to rearrange, again, turmoil and disarray all over again! (need love seat or short sofa) Christian, too much brother. Hope I get to stay here so you can see it in action.

The directions on new surround sound say, “Calibration emits loud sound. Look for small children and pets. Consider effect on neighborhood.” Holy Moly! On ‘neighborhood’?? Thankfully I have been too intimidated by the phone-book thick manual to have tried this test yet. Read that at near midnight. I will make this thing work soon, I promise!

I made giant boxes from wood to look like stone. They look like giant boxes of wood with paint from a sponge on them. Oh well.

Run of Inspecting Carol is half over. Getting better and having more fun.

Rehearsals for Hello and Goodbye are hampered by time commitments. My friends, director, Marla Gam-Hudson and fellow cast member, Sherryl Wynne are being fantastic and kind about it. OH YEA – check out great review for Sherryl’s show –

This guy can be tough critic – sure wish I could see it. More time conflicts.

Am feeling good, all things considered. I know it does not sound that way. It is that way. Life is a series of stuff to get through, into, around, past and over. Epictetus, (first self help book author maybe) wrote, “It’s not what happens to you, it’s how you respond.” Of course he wrote in Greek and probably fancier. Need to find that book again. Need to be sure of what I am telling you. If this is wrong, tell me.

Not unhappy, scared. Not panicking, trying too hard maybe. Not drinking. Also not exercising. Hmph.

Long day, two theaters and a church in between! Going to be a good one. Actually love to be involved. Becky, thanks for your help. Garrett, thank you for asking and trusting. Lynda, thanks for your ‘stuff’!

LOTTO TICKET! Of course, my retirement plan suddenly rushes back to mind. Silly me, where are my quarters?

How do you make a word a link without pasting the link next to it? I need to read some instructions. Would do more of that if it looked nice.

Massage room still not used. Trying to choose class (es) for Jan-Mar session. Want to take 2 but not over-extend. Fine lines.

I go now, something interesting and relevant to follow. Monday or Tuesday.

  1. For those of us who know you, there is no need for video. I could see you talking the whole time and was laughing, sighing, and thinking right along with you. Glad that things are going well for you. Unfortunately I think that you failed in your quest to be about nothing. There was quite a bit of you in this blog that those who read it will enjoy. Perhaps you can test your sound system when the neighborhood is less crowded? Middle of the day? Good luck with that retirement plan.
